OCMJEA badge and diploma

On Friday morning I received the diploma and the badge for OCMJEA from Dublin(Ireland). It was quite fast how Oracle managed to send me the package, I confirmed the address only on Tuesday and Friday morning the package from Oracle arrived, they announce me that I passed all steps on Monday morning. The date of certification seems to be the date when I downloaded the assignment for step 2. I'm happy now and I really want to apply what I learned and to set the standard for excellence :).

Oracle Certified Master Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect passed today

Today I received a notification from Oracle that I have passed the Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect certification and I'm among the elite 1% of certified Java professionals who have gone on to achieve the Java Enterprise Architect certification :) I completed all four steps required and I'm very happy now after a long term motivated study :) It was a lot of learning and trying different uml tools, running snippets of code and most important thinking about problems that arise in enterprise architectures.

Developing Applications for the Java EE 6 Platform Oracle training

This week I completed this training from Oracle. It was a pleasure to listen and do some exercises with Netbeans and Glassfish. The course was quite expensive but I chose it for mandatory course attendance requirement in case of jee architect certification.

SCJP 6

From January I'm Sun certified programmer for java se 6, after a week I received the badge and the big diploma in a mail.
I read only from SCJP Study Guide Katherine Sierra, Bert Bates and I use the simulator (free) from examlab.tk, and javaranch forums (very helpful). It was not an easy exam and you must prepare carefully, study each topic with maximum attention.

Next step (4me): SCEA (Sun certified enterprise architect) I will start soon to study for SCEA, I'm not so confident because current scea is outdated the new JEE 6 specs are here from December 2009, but the update certification I think will appear more lately, another concern is about oracle that own sun now how will they modify the scea...will they focus more this certf on their products ? will they constrain further jee evolution to own view ?...and how valuable will be this cert on the market ?
However I think prepare for scea is a very good reason to be motivated to learn essential sw arhitecture topics ...
